Associate professors of the Department visited the large-scale exhibition-fair of organic products and technologies “ORGANIC-2020”

Associate professors of the Department of Bakery and Confectionary Goods Technologies Inna Zinchenko and Natalya Falendysh visited one of the largest agro-industrial exhibitions “Agro-2020”, which worked on the territory of the Expocentre of Ukraine in Kyiv.

Within the framework of “Agro-2020”, a large-scale exhibition-fair of organic products and technologies “ORGANIC-2020” was held, the theme of which is related to technologies of organic products; organic producers; retail chains of organic products, certified organic food and beverages; eco-packaging, eco-fertilizers etc.

Among the events of the exhibition-fair “ORGANIC-2020” the conference “Organic: knowledge, experience, result” was held. The main goal of the conference was to familiarize producers, farmers, everyone involved in the cultivation and production of agricultural products with the trends in the development of the organic sector, the main legislative innovations that will work in Ukraine in the near future, the experience of advanced farms in growing plant products.

The conference was organized by the Federation of Organic Movement of Ukraine and the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine. The conference was held with the support of the project “German-Ukrainian cooperation in the field of organic agriculture”; Swiss-Ukrainian program “Development of trade with high added value in the organic and dairy sector of Ukraine”, which is being implemented by the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL, Switzerland) in partnership with SAFOSO AG (Switzerland).

It should be added that among the training programs for applicants for the degree “Master” at the Department of Bakery and Confectionary Goods Technologies is the educational program “Technology of Organic Food”. Therefore, the up-to-date information received by teachers will be useful in the preparation of lecture courses, conducting laboratory and practical classes, and managing diploma projects.
